Batman returns again to fight a villain worse than Joker, Penguin, Catwoman and Christopher Walker combined... This man that can bury the bat is none other than the director, Joel Schumacher...

To be honest, I like this movie... It's fun and cheesy at the right parts but adult and action packed when it needs to be. The scene with the nipples and buttcrack on the batsuit is NOT what I'm talking about, those scenes are the weird ones... Soooooo anyway, are you ready to get on with this review? To the Batmobile, loyal reader!

"So you remember that scene Penguin hacked the Batmobile and Michael Keaton was beginning to rebuild it? This is the end result! Though to be fair, if your caped crusader and city had to deal with a weirdo like Penguin running for mayor and his evil psycho circus blowing up your homes and shops and stuff... Yeah, I think the heroes and city would wanna change to bright fun neon lights to you know, NOT seem associated with weirdo villains that crawled from Frank Miller's and Todd MacFarlane's butt!s"

This movie strangely begins with action, with Two Face (played by Tommy Lee Jones) robbing a bank and Batman kicking ass with his (as Joker puts it) wonderful toys. We later see (as Bruce Wayne watches TV) how Harvey Dent became Two Face and why he hates Batman, but never explained why he's a white guy now and no longer Lando. Then we see over the top 90s icon Jim Carrey pitching  a brainwave TV idea to Bruce Wayne which is shot down for being unethical and potentially dangerous. Soooooo he hates and is jealous of Wayne, discovers his invention sleals people's brainwaves, makes himself smarter, and he becomes the Riddler... Though Captain Kill and Question Mark Man were also ideas he was brainstorming...

"Green spandex with question marks logically means riddles so I will become The Riddler as that's the only logical step up from Fire Marshal Bill!"
-The Riddler

We then see the origin story of Robin (played by Chris O'Donnell) as his family circus act (The Flying Graysons) is murdered by Two Face. Seeing himself in the young orphan, Bruce takes him in and in time, Dick Grayson learns Bruce's secret identity and wants to become his sidekick to get revenge on Two Face. It leads to Two Face and Riddler bombing the Batcave and Batman and Robin joining forces to take the fight to Riddler's lair and even participating in the lame overly done "Play my game or your friends will die" thing. Well Batman saves them both, stops the villains and saves the day... And now has a sidekick, who frankly seems to be the main focus of the film with the origin story, his want to be the partner, and it does play out better than what Joseph Gordon-Levitt did...

"I'm Officer John Blake Robin and I know you're Batman, Bruce."
-Officer Robin
"I, er, um... Look! A white commando version of Bane with no steroid toxins strapped to his back! To the Batmobile, I mean the office to hide under my desk!"
-Bruce Wayne

It's cheesy, lame at times, not sure why they made Two Face (one of my favorite villains) so over the top and goofy instead of like the mafia boss guy he usually is.... I mean I get they made him have split personalities in this movie but he throws tantrums like a 5 year old and even goes trick or treating with Riddler... Still, it's more fun and enjoyable then it's God awful sequel, Batman and Robin. So after all this time I have to give Batman Forever 3 out of 5 replacement Batman actors. It's fun but not a great movie, the acting and jokes can be bad but not overly awful either. Just an average comic book movie with mid-90s CG special effects but some good action scenes and storyline.
