This f***ing game...

I just want to begin saying that the last hour playing this game, I've died. And not like Dark Souls or Bloodborne where you can just go back to where you died and grab your experience points, nooooooooooooooooo... I'm like 3-4 chapters in the game, my character had to deal with asshole shield monsters as well as a horde of weaker enemies, and I wasted over 10 health potions AFTER killing the weaker enemies while taking on the generic shield soldier monster! Seriously, what the Hell?! I mean, the concubine boss I just beat isn't as much of an ass rape as this guy! Oh, and it gets better: After getting out of the sewers of death, my ally says he feels slow and cannot help me fight anymore. Okay, fine, oh shit! Next battle is against these ice women with devastating radial attacks, an ice archer that slows down my movement and attacks, and another skeleton armed with huge dark magic sword that drains me of my magic. In other words: I'm dead.

"Hear that? This wimp thinks the game is too hard! Wait, I thought you liked old games, those were pretty hard!"
-Bone Golem
"I like them with a challenge, yes... But not when they are Mission: Last-Ninja-Im-freaking-possible hard!"
-Mad Wolf

This is a game I bought a long time ago, interesting premise of these Ice Lords are raging a war to take over this fantasy world, you're a mercenary that gets a demon in your head that's trying to seduce you with ideas of power. It's a good plot predicament: Hmmm, the being in me of fire and I have to go up against a legion of ice and death. Do I give into this monster within, or do I sacrifice my free will and my soul to fight off this neverending army of the cold dead? Interesting mystery to the characters too, you get the concept they all know more than they lead on. Not bad gameplay either, but I'm to the point it's gotten overly hard and I'm just to the point I kinda wanna throw the PS4 out the window and have it explode.

"I'm being chased by a Cthulhu tree monster!"
-Red Scribe, Sybil

I give this game 4 out of 5 undead ice beasts... Surprised? Well, I mentioned I find the story interesting, the graphics are impressive, the monsters are horrifically made (Which kinda remade me of the stuff in Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth), and I mentioned the gameplay's solid... What sucks though is the difficulty of some of the monsters. Sure, every game needs a challenge but this game is like "Oh, you learned how to beat this? Well, now I'm gonna throw you a curveball to really screw with you." I wasn't kidding about my current dilemma in the game, every dead end in the sewer I had to fight Bone Golems  (Which are hard but beatable), than I dealt with quite possibly the hardest shield grunt I ever faced in the game... Dunno if they upped his hitpoints or what, but now I'm f***ed as I gotta fight an army of nasties by myself! But aside from this drawback, it's a pretty solid game.
