When I saw this at a friend's house back in the day I warned them Alien 3 was bad... Then they popped this in, I was blown away and was like "This is more like Alien 3000!!!"...

Just wanna say this here and freakin' now... NO... TIME... LIMIT! That's right, one of the hardest things in the other games has been taken out. There's also a more cinematic opening video which now looks cheesy and full of holes but I didn't see that kinda thing often with our Genesis and NES, so I was Hella impressed. Each level contains several rooms focused around a hub, each hub has computers you can access to view the whole level layout, you can take up missions such as destroying all Xenomorph eggs and rescuing all prisoners and even soldering doors shut.

"Dark, atmospheric, and moody... This is what Alien is supposed to look like on consoles!"

At times you'll face off a horde of Aliens, giving you that feeling of Ripley stirring up the hornet's nest like Ripley does at the end of Aliens. Ammo and health can feel a bit scarce and you can easily get lost in the massive levels which is more like the horror of the movie despite no guns were in the movie. I mean c'mon guys, don't you remember that scene where they're running through the tunnels screaming and dying because they were getting lost?

"How do I get down there? Oh right, go across the whole stage, take elevator down, jump over lava, climb ladder, and pray I can do this without getting gang raped by Xenomorphs."
-Ripley

This one also features a health bar that only appears right above your character when you're being attacked or when you're super low on health. I really think this is the version that the developers worked on and then the other versions they were kinda lazy and like, "Eh, let's just go over there to work on the SNES one." So this game is totally awesome but it's still not like the movie with one Alien, no guns, and the main character wanting to die to save everyone from the last Xenomorph Queen in existance. They could've made it Aliens and switched things a little, it would've been Alien perfection on the SNES... But instead I'm left feeling like it decides 4 out of 5 suicidal hero women.
