It's time for adventure... But where are you going without ever knowing the waaaaay?

This game is an action adventure classic in which you play elven boy on a great quest to save Princess Zelda from the animal pigman Ganon... What's up with weirdos trying to kidnap the princesses? I mean yeah, they want power and to rule the kingdoms but if they plan on um... Spawning children (?) they should realize they're not the most attractive Kings to look at.

"Why you pick on me? I just want land in iron grip of tyranny and elf woman to make pig elf hybrid babies!"
-Ganon

The game begins with the elven boy you play in the middle of nowhere with only a shield. There's a cave with a creepy old man inside just hands you a sword... Because that's normal for young boys to take things from strange old hermits in dark caves. So anyways, after getting the sword you're left pretty much left to fend for yourself and figure out where to go and what to do. That's right, to all those Skyrim modders that bitched and whined there was no compass marker in the only quest I made, play Zelda without cheating from the internet, I dare you! There's no in-game map or objective marker, players were expected to explore this open world, discover dungeons, solve puzzles, and defeat bosses with only cryptic clues from the occasional weird person. And you know what? Over 67 million copies of this game was sold and is one of the most iconic series of all time.

"Um... Mad Wolf? I'd really not want to fight Dragonborns, the Blades, and the Imperials or Stormcloaks..."

As the game progresses you find tools such as a lantern to light up dark areas, bombs to blow up walls as well as a tree which seems very outta place, a raft to journey across rivers and lakes, and so forth as you're taking pieces of the mystical Triforce, a relic from 3 Goddesses that grants it's wielder wishes, back from the evil pigman, Ganon.

In conclusion, this game was Elder Scrolls before Elder Scrolls existed and I believe Zelda to be the concrete foundation to pretty much all action fantasy games out today. Never got to play this as a kid growing up but when I finally did play it, I spent hours immersed in Hyrule trying to find the next place to go and the next boss to kill. Though I admit I got help from internet walkthroughs, gotta respect those who figured this out back in the day... I'm not exactly sure HOW they even figured some of this crap out, it's not like you have infinitebombs to place everywhere and pray one of the walls opens a new passage! Legend of Zelda gets 5 out of 5 damsel princess babes in distress.
