He is not just a monster, but the KING of the monsters!

I was kinda afraid pre-ordering this one, some Godzilla games were great, others terrible, most somewhere in between, and if you've read my review on the movie released last year you know how disappointed I was in that...

Uggghhhhh... He will NEVER let those go..."
-Godzilla

But I'm glad I picked this game up and lemme tell you why: The gameplay is very unique, each stage starts with Godzilla entering an area of Japan seeking G-energy which the people use to generate electricity to their country and Godzilla feeds on. Each stage is totally open, allowing Godzilla to wander, destroy buildings to grow in size, battle other monsters that appear, but what's essential is destroying the generators to advance to the next stage. Sometimes enemy monsters will destroy them all in your battles but if so, you must defeat that monster before moving to the next level.

"Get away from my G-Energy generator, Smog Monster! You don't even know what to do with it!"
-Godzilla

Controls take time learning; you use L1 and R1 to turn Godzilla, the right joystick controls camera angle, the left joystick moves Godzilla, and then his attacks are controlled with the buttons. Storyline's good but simple too, basically Japan remembers when Godzilla attacked back in the 50s and established G-Force to combat him should he return... Which he does, as does famous enemy monsters... To feed on the new energy being produced at power generators. Simple, but you're playing Godzilla so a simple reason's all the big guy needs to come ashore and wreak havoc.

"Oh snap! I'm screwed..." - Godzilla

There are few games that do Godzilla justice, and I feel this one is perfect! It gets 5 out of 5 perfectly destroyed cities smoldering from blue atomic fire breath... Yeah...
