Let's get ready to CRUMMMMMMBBBLE!!! ... On a little screen... This came out around the same time as Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee and I guess you can say this is the 3D fighting game's little brother. Due to limitations of the Game Boy Advance, this game can't offer the 3D models or stages as Destroy All Monsters but instead players can play 1 of 6 monsters from the Godzilla movies redone in anime styled 2D sprites. There's even a cute anime news reporter girl they have in the story mode of the game that adds to making this feel like a Godzilla anime cartoon... That's kinda a cool idea, Cartoon Network should jump on making that... The stages are 3D though not with 3D graphics or modelling, these stages are big for a Game Boy Advance fighting game in which you can move side to side, up and down, and even jump up/down various levels to fight your monsters.
I have to say this is a pretty cool Godzilla game as well as a fighting game for a portable game system that really seems to utilize what the system offers without providing lag or glitches. Definitely one to check out especially if you can play this on the go. Although it can use a few more monsters like Gigan or King Caesar I give this game and all it delivers on an older portable system 5 out of 5 movie monster special attacks.
