From thy developers that brought ye Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, some other kinda Souls, non-mediocre Souls, but not Soul Calibur... Who knew?

Hmm... How to begin explaining this game? Well, it starts with YOU on some lab table being talked to by a weird creepy old guy in a wheel chair telling you "You need Yharnam blood." There's a transfusion, a giant skinned werewolf thing crawls from the floor and next some pygmy ghost thing creepy crawl all over you like they're gonna gang rape you... I'm sorry, you guys know I usually create female characters, one of those little bastards even groped her (completely clothed) boobs. Then you're running around, you die, THEN you get your weapons! ... Yeah, that order sounds right.

"I wish I could get more badass when I die!" - Lara Croft

"As do I!" - Doom Marine

What's trippy about this game is the scenery and the atmosphere... It's very dark and brooding city in an age like a mix between 1600s and Victorian... So think Sherlock Holmes meets Pirates of The Caribbean... But with monsters lurking around every corner. Those monsters vary from werewolves, giant ogre things, and bosses which seem to be from the mind of H.P. Lovecraft.... Praise be to Cthulhu! Bringeth thy Cthulhu on-eth!

"Hells yeah, that's a big boss!"

Story-wise? I dunno, it's weird and not very explanatory... You're an outsider to this town but somehow a hunter to these monsters which are caused by some infection (Explained by a doctor/nurse in the clinic), on nights of "The Hunt" people lock themselves inside but that's not enough this time, there's this weird victorian doll thing everyone seems to suggest is a sex doll (Even the creepy old guy giving you blood transfusion suggestions using her if it PLEASES you) and she's how you level up your stats... But the main focus point is on the horrific monsters, exploring the city, and learning from your mistakes by dying time and time again and seeking out the beast which killed you so you can get revenge on it and get your blood echoes (AKA experience points/money) back. It's very mysterious and I can't help but wanna play more to find out what the Hell is going on exactly...

Not a perfect game but I give it 4 out of 5 creepy non-squishy Victorian sex dolls... Hmmm...
