Gangsters, wrestlers, guns, gunships, a former porn star now actress/artist/model, and A F***ING TIGER?!?!... Ohhhhhhh myyyyyyy.

A had to buy this, I loved SR2 and was sure it's sequel wouldn't disappoint... Much. Usually I begin explaining what I love but this time I'll give you some of the games bad points and save the best for last. 1: Food items that refill your health are gone so now you can only rely on the Halo/Call Of Duty health regeneration thing. 2: A lot of the cars you loved from the previous game are gone. I miss the Eiswolf most, that was a sweet ride. 3: The graphics are awesome but that and the gamplay feel more cartoonish. SR2 had a nice balance of comedy and badass action movie seriousness whereas SR3 has some seriousness but feels more like a action packed comedy. 4: Game was too short... Yeah... Beat it within like 19 hours and that included a bit of the side missions. Didn't feel like it had the same amount of content as Saints Row 2. 5: Shaundi's back... I hated that druggy slut in Saints Row 2 as she was so worthless, OF ALL PEOPLE a puny ass hippie Pop Rock DJ was able to nearly kill her. Luckily Shaundi is no longer a worthless skank that lets people walk all over her and looks like she sleeps in a dumpster, but now she's overly pissy and seems to let the slightest annoyance crawl up her butt and make her psycho killer bitch. The transition from worthless druggy partier to super killer chick could be from PMS or maybe even drug detox effects on her body. They try to say she's upset over the death of a fellow Saint but I dunno, she never seemed to think much of him before. The transition just seems a little too extreme in my opinion. Here's some pictures to show the difference...
Worthless junkie Shaundi from Saints Row 2...

Super bitchy Shaundi from Saints Row: The Third... Grumpy psycho as she may be, I will say at least she looks A LOT better... And disease and/or cockroach free!

Now with those rants out of the way the praise can begin... The cast and acting of SR3 is awesome. 2 of the actors I knew would be in it (And I kept my fingers crossed, hoping they wouldn't be bad guys) are my favorite wrestler since I was a kid, Hulk Hogan...

And a gorgeous chick who's probably best known for her work in adult entertainment... What?!?! I'm a guy, and I'm straight so of course I notice good looking girls!... Even if their work is a bit raunchy... Anycrap, she's Sasha Grey...

Her character is also extremely bitchy though her reason I can easily understand... Seeing how her twin sister gets murdered with a snap of her neck and all but hey, maybe it's just me that thinks this. All I can really say about her is "damn she's gorgeous."... I know, I'm a typical stupid male obsessed with the small things. Hey look! A shiny coin on the floor! Seriously though, I think her character in the game, Viola, is probably my favorite partner in crime... Either her or Hulk Hogan's character, Angel De La Muerte.

Yeah... This game has some downsides and may be a bit short but so does pretty much every other game out there, especially ones that are continuations in a series. Despite these downsides, the game offers kickass character creation and customization, and over the top fun action gameplay that leaves the player wanting to play more and more... Or wind up getting so bored you shut off your system until you buy something else. Depends on the kind of gamer you are really.

A few of the additions to the game's series I really enjoy is upgrading your weapons, choosing perks to upgrade for your character/gang, being able to have biker gang members, awesome choices necessary for the player to make to achieve different perks/story plot, Sasha Grey and Hulk Hogan (I mean, duh), killing the enemy gangs (Mostly I hate the cyber emos), alternate choices to end your missions, and probably most importantly, I loooooooooooooooooooove Professor Genki's Super Ethical Reality Climax... It's a pretty fun gameshow challenge in which you kill mascots, brute clones, shoot signs, and avoid traps to win a lot of cash.

I say Saints Row: The Third deserves 3 out of 5... Umm... Giant dildos bloodied as they were used as weapons instead of... Err... Their intended purpose... And yes, I just wanted to leave you with that bit of disturbing imagery.
