No Wii version?!?! Where's the love?

So this game takes place after the events of Modern Warfare (I mean, duh!!!) and the opening level involves shooting and blowing stuff up in some unnamed Middle Eastern country, probably the same unnamed country in the previous game...

"Where's our damn air support, Sarge?!?!"
- Ranger Private

"Son, we don't even know what COUNTRY we invaded!"
- Ranger Sergeant

Then you play in a snow covered mountain used as a jet fighter base where you retrieve a stolen device, seems like a filler level but a fun one at that. In the next level the Ranger from unnamed desert place impressed the brass enough to be sent on a special assignment, going undercover in a terrorist group led by this douchebag named Makarov who murders dozens of innocent civilians then shooting you in the face. Oh snap! The body of a dead American seen shooting the Hell outta the place is soon identified as an Army Ranger and yep... Russia goes to war with us Yanks. Gee... That undercover operation was a total SNAFU now wasn't it?

"Soooooooooooo, guys... After killing all these people in this airport, what comes next? Stealing a UAV drone? Infiltrating a missile sub and launching nukes? Hahahaha, what good fun. Ha... I'm not an undercover agent by the way." - Army Ranger

The rest of the game goes back and forth from playing an Army Ranger fighting the Russian invasion (They used that stolen device to trick our radar and invade the United States) and playing Task Force 141 who are searching for Makarov so they can kill him deader than Hell... Which doesn't happen, instead you get to have some fun blowing some stuff up and shooting bad guys before being betrayed and targeted as criminals no better than Makarov. Seriously, what the Hell?!?! So now you're mission is track down General Assface and kill him while Mr. Terrorist Douchebag walks away free as a bird. Yeah that's a great game plot right there.

"Geez! The US Army wants me dead AND the terrorists want me dead. I haven't a friend in the world... Save for that crazy guy that detonated a nuke in space and blew up a satellite."
- Cpt. "Soap" MacTavish
"See? No bullshit."

The story is alright but feels a little rushed, levels offer a lot of diversity, overall playing it left too many vendettas without getting any payback and you're left wanting more. I know that's what Modern Warfare 3 is for but damn it, I really wish they'd finish the game without being all, "Well... We're done for now, let's just make a sequel 2 years from now to finish this up." Still, game is pretty decent. I say it deserves 3 out 5 skull ski masks.
