If you're one of those kind of horror fans
that enjoy the kinda horror movies where you have ditzy college girls
running around naked and getting killed gruesomely by creatures that
can't possibly outrun them, yeah this ain't one of those so just turn
around and walk away. No, this in fact is a movie about British soldiers
participating in a training exercise in the middle of a vast forest
that encounter some of the most fiercest and deadliest creatures ever
seen... Werewolves.
The plot may seem a bit "Been there, done that" with the whole "Whoops... Here we are stuck in the middle of nowhere with no way to escape the things killing us or even get more help" but I say this is quite possibly the BEST Werewolf film I ever seen. The creatures and special effects are very impressive especially for the fact it came out in 2002 which is a year filled with crappy CG effects that make shit look like cartoon objects/creatures in a movie with real actors and sets. But also the acting is pretty good save for one line said by the female character (Emma Cleasby as Megan) in the film, "Let nature take it's course, it's that time of the month"... Maybe it's just me but I think that's a pretty gross way for a woman to tell a squad of soldiers "The moon is full so there's Werewolves that're gonna eat your insides for dinner. Have fun, boys!"... Yeah...
But seriously this is still hands down a very badass horror flick filled with blood, badass creatures, and a good story. I give this movie 5 out 5 bloody Werewolf claws!
